A treat for you....."

  •  I know it is confusing as when this blog started, it was like a newspaper, thus Cutter Gazette.  This is how I can showcase paper crafting and jewelry. My design company  (jewelry and crafting) is CUTTERHOUSE DESIGNS.  I was going to call the jewelry THE CHAIN GANG, and it was just so many names involved,  I actually may use that one some day. I am THE HOUSTON BABY PLANNER, my design firm is ROOMERS4DESIGN, and BABY ROOMERS is the nursery design. So if you are confused, don't worry...so am I most days!

  • A treat for you!

    Alien in the mail......

So would you not think I was sending Sonya an alien....looks like an ultra sound of a weird bird, alien in nature!  But knowing me, you actually never know what is really in the box........it actually will be mailed Monday morning when school starts again.  Let us hope that during its travel, it hatches into something different!

I can't wait for Sonya to receive it, and when I receive mine.  Then the fun begins....

    My partner is Sonya Stille

    My partner in Bead Soup.......

I always try to find co incidence in my life, maybe I read into it sometimes, but sometimes it is obvious. My bead partner and I share the same initial (I used to share her last initial as well but we won't go there)  I was almost born in Augusta, GA and she is from there.  We both have boys, both have a 7 year old, I think we are both red headed.

We like the same colors, jewel tones, brights  and neutrals, and we both like to wear black.  Sonya and  I both  like to work with chain.  I am wanting to learn Viking knit and she has played with it and would like to try more.

I can't wait until we get our soup.  I am just adding some spice right now to hers  and giving it a last minute stir.  I am waiting to seal the jar as soon as the ingredients settle. pictures will be posted all along the way.  From here until reveal day, just work and fun.

This is so nice to read about her (I have copied right from her e mail to me, as she and her husband deserve so much admiration for their spirit and what they do)

We are getting ready for our Turkey Hunt.  Not sure if I told you already, but my Husband, Keith, and I started a non-profit organization about 2 years ago called Hunting For The Cure.  We live in the country in White Plains, Georgia.  We have 600 acres and live in a hunting lodge that has 13 bedrooms.  Hunting for the Cure hosts various events where families with a child that has  or has recovered from cancer come and participate.  We invite the entire family including siblings.  All events are free of cost and include lodging and all meals.  In November we have a deer hunt and this month is our first turkey hunt.  We have 14 children coming to this  hunt.  On Saturday we have a Christian band coming to play for some fun and praise and worship.  Any way these events are great fun but lots of work.

This is a piece that Sonya designed!
    Just beautiful!

Please stay tuned to my blog as we progress...this whole experience is amazing!

    I have my partner

Finally got my partner.  The group leader is very sick and it took a bit longer to have all the partners assigned.  Poor Lori is just so ill and trying to do all this and get thru each day.  Her husband Rick really helped her so much and they both need to be applauded.  They assigned more than 400 people, quite a bit were international.

My partner is from Augusta, GA.  I find it really funny that although my parents were from NY, I was almost born in Augusta.  My Dad was stationed in the army there after he and Mom married.  I find that to be a  curious, and her name also begins with "S".....been trying to find that extra diamond "S" I bought years ago, but can not find it!

Well I am getting my soup together to send her.  I can't post what I sent until she gets it...but I hope she will like it.  As it is my first time, its all new to me...but I will keep you informed as we go along.

I want you to all tune in for the big reveal day as you will be able to navigate all 400 blogs and hopefully (my students) will find inspiration and use it as a learning experience!

    Regards to all,

    Sherri

please leave me a message to say you were here.....

I am also working on a big Interior Design project with a Western theme    ( I am in the right place for that!)

    To : my bead partner

    Hi, partner.

I really can t wait to meet you.  I have never done this before but I am so excited.  I want to do my best but I also want your soup to be special, to match you or enhance you.  I have already been throwing things in, just for the fun of it.  I really will not create my "mix" until I meet you....oh, I can't wait!  I already am thinking of you as a new sister....

A little about me...just a little. I try to experiment and create different things but regardless of how long it takes, if I don't like   it...out it goes.  I am not so crazy as all the same beads have to be in the same box, but I am organized and force myself to do things that are un symmetrical...that is hard for me. I teach jewelry design because I have a true passion to see people learn, they are so proud of themselves and it opens new doors.

My first  experimenting was with  crochet wire necklaces and really had a following.   I saw something very unusual, liked it, researched it, and just spent weeks making and making necklaces until I found the exact precision to make it outstanding. I really love them, but have moved on.  People can get in a rut and in trying to find perfection, forget about everything else.

I do scrapbooking quite seriously...I have a room set for it, bursting at the seams.  My jewelry is stored in that room and my dining room.  My crafts take over the house.  I forgot how to cook and clean.  Just lost from my brain..

I love bright colors and mixing strange combos...I think purple and teal are just the coolest combo...my house isn't decorated that way,  but lots of décor for showing are those colors.  I hate brown/brown and orange.  When I was 16 I had 3 pairs of jeans...jean jeans, black and brown.  Every  week end when I went out with my steady boyfriend, if I wore the brown jeans, we would fight.  Took me a while to analyze it was the jeans, particularly BROWN.  My Mom once bought me a brown sweater...she said she knew I hated brown, but it was so pretty she couldn't help it.  I gave it away, unworn.  When my older boys were babies, I bought some brown jeans, I cringed when they wore them.....I threw them away.

My true education is in medical, but I am tired of seeing people die.  I need to spend my days being creative and happy...I have recently finished school as a Baby Planner, (the Houston baby planner.com), studies additionally in Green and healthy living, Nutrition, Safety.  I am almost finished with a Degree in Interior Design....I was hoping to be able to add Nursery Design to my business, but I am stuck at the end only because my passion goes beyond that, I love designing for all rooms.

I live in Texas, originally from NY.  My husband is a Texan, married 10 years.  We have grown kids...we are raising a 7 year old boy.  I am a soccer Mom again.

And after all this, my dear partner, I will bet you don't know me any better...you just think I am weird....don't you?
Leave me a comment and we will be in touch....you can PM me on facebook also.  So excited to meet you, my new sister.
(I am not really weird) but reading it back I sounds it.......

    And suddenly it is 2022!

My son is now 15 and driving with a permit, and he is already picking cars (for me to buy).  Cars currently are very had to find as here is ...
